Building a Clean Energy Future

Three wind turbines proposed for South Twin Mountain.

Small project, big benefits

Twin Energy is a proposed wind energy project in Rumford, Maine on South Twin Mountain. Utilizing three 6.1 MW turbines, this project will bring 18.3 MW of clean energy to the Northeast. This project will offset about 16.5 million tons of CO₂ per year, equivalent to removing over 3,500 cars off the road.

The partners developing this project designed and commissioned the neighboring RoxWind project in 2021. Having been involved in Oxford County since 2015, we are proud to have a strong relationship with the local communities. In addition to the environmental benefits that this project will bring, the economic and community advantages throughout the project’s life include millions of dollars of new property taxes, a financial contribution agreement with the Town of Rumford, and landowner payments.

We are excited to continue our partnerships with the local community as we develop, construct, and commission this project.
